A Junior Recruiter is an entry-level HR professional responsible for supporting the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing candidates, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and managing applicant tracking systems. They work closely with senior recruiters to improve hiring efficiency, ensure a positive candidate experience, and handle administrative hiring tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Posting: Create and post job ads on job boards and social media to build a talent pool.
Screening: Review resumes and conduct initial phone screens to evaluate candidate qualifications.
Coordination: Schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers, managing calendars and communications.
Database Management: Maintain applicant tracking systems (ATS) and candidate databases.
Candidate Experience: Act as the first point of contact, providing timely updates and feedback to applicants.
Administrative Support: Assist with background checks, reference checks, and onboarding paperwork.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with candidates and stakeholders.
Organization: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage high-volume hiring.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with ATS or CRM systems.
Education/Experience: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships and maintain professionalism.
